My first H3 is on it's way!
Hey everyone... you might remember me from a while ago when I asked what was better on gas.. a Range Rover or Hummer. I'm 17 from Canada.
We just finalized a deal with a dealer in Montreal (Im in Ont.) for a white 2006 H3! It has black leather, luxury package, navigation, XM satelite radio, sun roof. I'm so excited for it! It is supposed to be shipped by Friday. It has 39,000 miles and we got it for $23999.
Just to give me an idea of what I'm getting into here... I want to drive it to school every day. Round trip, it's about 30KM. Does anyone have any idea how long I will be able to go without filling up if I only travel 30KM 5 days a week? Hopefully it'll be something like filling up once a week, but, being a hummer, im prepared to have to fill it up more than that. I'm just curious.
Anyways I'm happy to finally be a part of your 'club'!!! I'm so excited and will post pics when it arrives!
Thanks!

Congrats you'll love this vehicle, I've been off roading awhile in a jeep and the H3 stock is a great off roader. My wife fills up once a week and has a good drive to work, it does not use anymore fuel than a honda accord V-6 that I've noticed.
Since you are in school, you do the conversion math, it will build character.
A stockH3 will run about 300 Miles on a tank of gas (unless you are some kinda lead foot), manual transmissions do abit better.

I've been getting about 400 mi (~640 km) per tank in suburban driving - mostly 30-40 mph and not a lot of stops. I'm pretty light on the gas and I do a lot of coasting (I have a manual tranny), but I wouldn't call myself a hypermiler.
