My Almost New Hummer...Headlight Question
Hi all. I just picked up this '07 for my wife. It only had 30K miles and looks almost brand new! The interior appears perfect. I bought it at a dealership who had apparently picked it up at auction. The AutoCheck report I ran showed registrations in Houston each year, then around 1st of October, it showed to be at auction in Michigan. Then around Oct. 14, it was at a local dealership in Central Texas. I don't know who could drive this thing for 3 years and keep it looking like it had not been driven at all! Anyway, the wife LOVES it and I get my beloved '93 Roadmaster back.
I did notice the right headlight beam hits the garage door much lower than the left one. I've read the procedure in the FAQ section but have the following questions.
What is the "cut-off" referred to in step 8 above?
Is this adjustment done with the lights on low beam?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Mark

8. Turn the vertical aiming screw until the headlamp
beam is aimed to the horizontal tape line. If you turn
it clockwise, it will raise the beam and if you turn it
counterclockwise, it will lower the beam.
The top edge of the cut-off should be positioned at
the bottom edge of the horizontal tape line.

Don't know about the head light, I'd guess it refers to the edge of the bright area? I just wanted to say I LOVE the interior. Best leather interior I've seen, and if given the choice I'd probably go with that over my previous favorite of dark cloth (still on the hunt for one so wish me luck).

I have the exact interior combo and it is by far the richest looking of the Hummer colors!! I think it's called Morocco/Ebony. I get many compliments!! You are the 1st h3 that I've seen with it....other than mine

After only a week, my wife has become so attached to this thing! I had a 2000 Hyundai I needed to get rid of, so I just gave it to a couple to fix up for their grand daughter. They came to pick it up this morning, and my wife made me promise that I would not open up the Hummer and let them in it....she was afraid they might scratch up the leather seats! Freakin hilarious In her defense, it's her first "new" car since 1987...a suburban which we still have at 246M miles. She's waited patiently (somewhat) for this day. I do like the interior color combo...it's different if nothing else.
I really like this forum. I'm already making a list of things I need to check out....
Cracks in the radiator top tank.
Wires rubbing at the connection next to the tow hitch.
Any other inherent problems to this model?
Thanks,
Mark
