Default multimedia installation

I intend to get ride of the standard radio on the H3 and have it replaced by a multimedia station PIONEER AVIC HD 1 BT + CAMERA ND BC1.

it does everything ( except fried eggs)
GPS
dvd/cd/mp3
bluetooth
video camera (reversing)
even... radio

it has an 30mb hard disk and its possible to record upto 300 cd's in a 10mb partition.

I will post photos of the installed product (they do it on the 10/23/06) but in the meantime I wonder if any of you guys have any experience with this system or have it already installed in your ride.

Did I mention I want to be your new best friend Jmm? That is going to be awsome. Just don't do what I did, it's a little dangerous:

hi,

apparently they are not going to mount it on the bumper.
it's glued on the rear door window below the stop light. the camera angle is 120°x90° so it should provide a perfect rear view.

When people ask me this, I say "I'm JUST the computer guy" It keeps me out of trouble because of the things I REALLY know.

I think Mike has just found the father he always wanted.
I grew up without a father, and never met him, so you better watch it, Dad(s)

Or, you can feel sympathy for the fact I grew up in a house with my grandmother, sister and mother, fighting 24/7 for 20 years, until my mother moved out, and my sister went into the Navy. How I turned out OK is still beyond me!

The original unit is kind of rounded on the top and bottom. Does the after market unit leave a gap on these two spots? How did you handle this issue?
