what is the best mods to gain the best MPG on this tank??? not that im complaining but here in germany us soldiers only get so many rations of fuel so i would like to get the most outta my truck for trips on the autobahn!

 

I suppose you could get an intake and exhaust. But if your main goal is to save money, the question is how much driving do you need to do to pay off the investment for performance parts.
If you want some freebies, shed some weight...get rid of the spare tire+rack, 3rd row seat, side steps, etc...
You can also inflate your tires a little more. That should save some gas.

That is what I was going to say. Air up the tires and drive slower. I think my Borla exhaust helped by 1/2 mpg.

 

Tuning is likely going to be your best bet. Nelson performance seems to have one of the best reputations for mail order tuning solutions..... many people have claimed to pick up significant gains in both mileage and performance.
