Thinking of deblinging
So I'm thinking of getting rid of all the chrome on my truck but thought I might ask for some opinions. I'm really on the fence because I really do like the chrome!...I think it looks good on a white h3, but I think black might look better...definitely meaner haha. I did a little editing of a picture of my h3 with ms paint and blacked out all the chrome on my truck(not the best airbrush job but it gives you an idea.) I like the truck either way but let me know what you think.
some future exterior mods are 35" tires, either marker lights, or the black light bar with 2 rectangle lights and a brush guard.

Lose the bars and get the tires....wow...then you see the palet you are working with...I'm now there and i like the previous suggestion..custom paint..pieces....I had to order the black handles....project is 70% complete....just getting the stars in the 20"rockstar rims painted white
I also agree, since your truck is white, the stark contrast of a black grille might be too much.
I don't like chrome at all. to me, it just reminds me of old hots rods, not on a modern serious off road truck like yours.
Having the grille painted white would look nice

I like all the parts you marked black except the grille. Personally I think the white trucks look best with a color-matched grille. Maybe a brushguard in front of the white grille. I think the black wheels look awesome on a white truck. They go along with dark line produced by the black plastic or the bumpers and lower rocker.
One pic I've seen recently on another site, the guy has black wheels but has painted his mirrors and door handles white. It looks really sharp.
Happy customizing make sure you post some pics when your done. :cheers
A side note; you can easily pull off those little "GM" chicklets on the sides with a hair dryer and some fishing line. Heat them a little and slide ther fishing line behind it and use a little bit of a sawing motion. They pop off with just a little tape residue left which comes off pretty easily.

Oh no! fellow grasshopper...I just sent my chrome grill to be painted black by a local airbrush artist...$40.00 plus supplies...she came back today with the hubcap(s) and gas seeve& cap done...I was impressed...
..BUT should I have gone with white...some wise freedback out there...lol
I'll put pics up soon to show what I've achieved so far......this might align with some of your thinking..still waiting on the black door handles to arrive

My appologies for piggy-backing on this thread....but the theme was related
Locations... on the hood close to windows and mirrors...
The vent covers must be stick on...can't detect any screws or openings( they are snug)..nothing in the hummer threads or manual...
....any thoughts on how to take them off without damaging cover or original

TRIPPED ON THE FOLLOWING THREAD AND ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION>>>>>this forum is amazing...took an internet search to redirect me back though
ghettoct: The fake breather covers are a snap (pun intended) to remove. Pop open your hood and pull straight up.
Just be careful not to scratch anything.
