The Crossovers that came with the components have one input and then a woofer output and a tweeter output. I already have my tweeters ran tgrough the crossover which I mounted under the dash. So if I use the factory wiring, it sound like I will I need to purchase another set of crossovers for the woofers and install in the doors to block the highs. Correct?

Or, could I mount the crossovers near the amp and run the tweeter and woofer amp outputs into the crossover input, and then hook the tweeter wiring to the tweeter output on the crossover and the woofer wiring to the woofer output on the crossover?

You will not be using 2 of the channels of the Monsoon amp if you use the same x-over for both the mid and tweet.

I would use the supplied Focal x-over for the mid as it will restrict the higher frequencies and have the proper slope and curve for your mid. I would purchase separate crossovers for the tweets or build simple and easy bass blockers close to the frequency range of the supplied x-over.

This is the Sub I used, & I highly recommend it, ROCKFORD FOSGATE P3SD2-8 PUNCH 8" SHALLOW SUBWOOFER DUAL 2 OHM

It's an 8" shallow sub made for small enclosures.
150w rms 300w peak, Dual 2ohm voice coils (just like factory)

Being dual 2ohm make it a snap to hook to factory wiring.
Literally, all I had to do was cut factory wires off @ sub terminals, Strip the factory wire about 1/4" and stuff them into the Rockford's Push lock terms.
DONE!!!
It actually took longer to remove the interior panels then swap the speaker.

Shipped to my door, the sub was under $100.

Hits harder, Hits lower, no noise or distortion. Factory was starting to make some funky noises.

------------------------------------

Few tips....

So you can get it all done the first time, lol.

1. Tighten all screws holding box together, 2-piece unit

2. Tighten Bolts holding Box to Chassis

3. Remove Factory Amp, cut a chunk of auto carpet in a square to insulate between box & amp, Retighten.

4. Stuff as much poly-fill in the area behind the amp as possible, make it tight. ( I had a rattle/resonance in the plastic box itself I could not get rid of any other way) Positive side note: Sub hits lower & harder!!!

Sounds better & I have no rattles!!!!!!

Here is What I used to replace all my factory speakers.

Rockford Fosgate PRIME series (Poly cone, Rubber surround, designed to be stock replacement speakers.)

PRIME Speakers - R1675-S - Rockford Fosgate®

PRIME Speakers - R1675X2 - Rockford Fosgate®

You can get them anyplace online, including E-bay.
They are so clean & clear sounding compared to stock.

Best part, I replaced EVERY Speaker in my Hummer (with Rockford Fosgate) for just over $200, shipped to my door!

Tips
-------

Rear Door will accept 6.75 Speakers, only mod is to drill out the 4 mounting holes to a bigger size. I recommend drilling from the back side of speaker for several reasons.

Front doors you can find posts on ppl did there swaps.

As far as Tweeter replacement, all I'll say is have a soldering gun/iron, Dremel & a Hot Glue gun handy.

Hope this helps.

Sorry guys, you might not wanna hear this but, I seriously do not advise adding any component set that comes with a crossover unit. The stock Amp just does not have enough power to push it, your gonna cause "Clipping".

Truthfully, The Monsoon is a very basic system that can't handle much more than basic speakers with Basic built-in cross-overs. (Capicitors/Resistors).

I went thru 3 sets of speakers in a month till I found what worked the best.

Remember, This is all just my opinion

I have old school MB Quart competition speakers with the supplied passive crossovers on the mids and separate MB Quart passive crossovers (from another set) on the tweets. I haven't noticed any "clipping" of the amplifier. Although MB Quart did use very high quality components in their competition crossovers. That may be why I don't have any amp clipping. Sounds Great!

All Speakers are 4OHM.
8" woofer and 1" tweet -Front Door and A Pillar
6.5" woofer and no tweet - Rear Door

Factory 8" Sub is 2 ohm Dual voice coil, NOT a single 4ohm voice coil.

Dual voice coil subs have more excursion and will work better than a single 4 ohm Sub.

If you get some High end Components they may work well but I'm more worried about Rims, Tires, Winch right now. I replaced Every Speaker for less than than what I would pay for a GOOD set of Components.

This is just my bang for the buck setup I guess.

I guess you didn't read that the 8s are in the front doors.
