Whats up, I just got my 2006 H3 Lux a few days ago. It has a Monsoon Sound System, but of course no audio jack for me to plug in my MP3 player. I have an aftermarket MP3 player that i can put in, but i dont want to compromise the sound, because the Monsoon is awesome.

My question: is the power that goes to the speakers in the head unit itself or are there external amps somewhere? will i just get a suckier system by putting in the after market stereo? I normally wouldnt switch it out, but i dont want to have to carry a lot of CD's in the SUV. i'd rather just carry the MP3 player.

The aftermarket stereo is a Sony XPloD MEX-BT5100

u can go to some car audio shops and they can install an ipod jack for u
