RE: MOAB, going there in May, a few questions...
Rob,
Man what an amazing view. I saw that photo with an indian in for ceremony dress with that back drop.
Is that Porcupine Rim??? I told my wife I would give my left lugnut to get a photo of our Hummer against that valley with those mountains in the background.
I HOPE THAT IS A TRAIL I CAN SAFELY NAVIGATE, there's simply not many vistas I've seen that compare to that!
Dan, I live in Dallas, TX.
Westhillsat, nice pics. Love the one of the Hummer's in front of the butte. Man, how narly is Lion's back! No way I'd attempt that but what a rush that must be... besides, someone said that was closed off now.
thanks again for the input guys. I will take it to heart and hopefully I'll return with some good stories and photos to share with all of you.
Please keep the feedback coming though, I get amped up everytime I see photos of the area.
Raymond

parked in front of the petrified Walmart (Merrimac). this is along the 7 mile rim trail. if you can reach neocon1, maybe he'd go along. the directions in the book for finding the trail are excellent, we only got lost once, but found our way back quickly.

Neo's on a couple of the forums, but I don't think he is a member on this forum.
They did Porcupine one afternoon, but there was some narrow areas on the trail with some drops, I don't like that really narrow
stuff.... we hung out in town shopping with a couple of others from the group.
Yeah, he really got the Moab bug - moving from So. Calif. to Moab!
