Default mirror cover swap,2.0

I remember reading about this b4 and now after an hr searching cant find anything.
I can remove the 4 screws inside behind the glass but cant get the glass out of the way to swap the cover, it must be too simple for me!

Sure wish I could help you out but all I know is how to replace the whole mirror assembly.

The mirror is held on by four vertical plastic tabs. You can pop the mirror off by pressing the bottom of the mirror all the way in and then prying upwards on the bottom of the plastic mirror case. It can be tricky because the tabs slots get jammed up with dirt over time and it is easy to break the mirror. You need a slim tool to get between the outside mirror housing and the mirror case and pry upwards. Replacement glass is cheap and available from Burco: Burco | Redi Cuts

The glass is glued to a plastic backer piece. The backer piece has the 4 tabs/slots on it, and the mirror motor mount/base mates up to it. Sorry if that is not clear. been a couple of years since I had mine apart.

Default Finally!

I posted some of this b4 but it got lost.

ok I lifted the mirror/glass and got it out of the way. then its simple,a bunch of screws,4 for the motor assm, 4 for the cover. unplug the motor assm, wiggle the cover off the main mount and reverse the process with the new cover,!whew!, it took a while.

thanks for help,(prying up the glass is scary!) but ok.
