I get 12.4 mpg with my '05 H2, but I do a lot of highway driving with it. Actually I really want to do some offroading with it, as soon as I get the chance.

Exactly......

If I wanted mileage, I'd kick myself in the NUTS and drive a Prius!!

I have an 08 h2 sut , I get 9.4 around town and a best freeway only of 12 . I run 87 octane . I just saw a little sticker on the gass door that recommends 91 octane . My friends 08 has no sticker. My average seemed to drop a little after the GM intake and bed cover ?

Ugh, you guys are scaring me into looking at that H2 SUT I was considering [&:]

I commute a lot, so this kinda sucks.

As for the question on the older generation vs newer generation, yes, MPGs, Power, and Tow Ratings are improved. The engine is more powerful, however, it runs DOD, so if you are lead footing it, you are going to be stuck with all 8's running. Towing has improved to 8,500 lbs, which is impressive.

I have an 08 SUT and got 10.3 MPG. I now have about 1000 miles on it. I added a Magnaflow muffler and am now getting 11.1 MPG. I place to add an air intake system which should add more MPG. Anyone else done anything to increase your MPG.
