Angry mice inside H2

Hello,
Mice regularly get in my 04H2 as evidenced by droppings in various places. This has been a problem for over 6 years. It started when I had my H2 on non-op for a couple of years although I would start it at least monthly to get the oil circulating. I placed mouse traps and caught a couple and they stopped coming. They are back but mousetraps are not the solution. Can anyone tell me how they are getting in? Is there a vent opening somewhere in the firewall or some other place that needs to be plugged or re-screened? I've looked all over the engine compartment but can't see any openings. Doors and windows are always closed except of course to get in and out. This vehicle has never been in an accident so I can only think the mice may have eaten through some plastic vent or something.

I've have heard that moth ***** placed inside the vehicle works. A box placed inside should do it.

h3 has a vent in the rear door. it opens easily with air passing thru.
I get hornets nesting in places on my jeep that sits for weeks. that's a scary surprise.
I guess if you had a pet snake,,,,!
I put those pellets in my barn and basement and I count 4 in various spots to see if theres activity. if theres still four days later I know I got them,,,for now.
when I was a kid I put a 1 inch hole in a can and soldered flexible metal strips inside around it. they got in but NEVER got out, walaaa, the better mouse trap!

Check seals, I had a Tahoe, that somehow I got mice in while it was in out garage, it was strange because we hadn't seen mice around in likely 8 years. Still have no idea how they got in but I did find the rear hatch seal were a little chewed.
