massive engine air leak
Check engine light went on and said major airleak somewhere.
So they started diagnosis and think it is the air intake gasket.
They need however test at a coldstart.
They will get the deuce monday night for that.
In the meantime I bought a can of carburator cleaner and sprayed it this morning myself at coldstart. Sprayed plenty all the way around but the engine did not suck any of it in to cause a change in rpms
So if it is not that what could it be?
Maf censor? (it is not the gas cap)
O2 censor.
Anybody had this before?

An engine with a bad MAF sensor may be hard to start or stall after starting. It may hesitate under load, surge, idle rough or run excessively rich or lean. The engine may
also hiccup when the throttle suddenly changes position.
My guess, since it does not appear to be an external Leak, is indeed a sensor (MAF, MAP)? I would also check the vacuum lines...

Do you have a fault code number? My jeep would register a 02 sensor problem with the temperature dropped below 40F but the solution turned out to be a PCM software update to correct the 02 sensor fault parameters. My engine also ran flawlessly. Let me know about the code...
