Default Lower ball joint

So I am going to attempt to do a lower ball joint on my rig, I'm sure I'll find myself swearing at something at some point...lol Does anyone have any tips or tricks that may help me along the way?

Undo the ball joint nut but leave it on the end to hammer the joint out without damaging the threads, Use PB Blaster to help persuede it out.
When installing the new joint it will probably just spin in the a-arm. You will need a hex wrench to hold it in place and tighten the 1-1/16 nut with a wrench instead of a socket.

Yep! I got some tips.
Don't. Lol.

Actually just finished gfs a few weeks back {along with a bunch of other stuff} and they are really a b!tch to do if you have a lot of salt on roads during winters. It just rusts the ball joint to the arm.
Rent the proper ball joint press from AutoZone or the like.
Give yourself plenty of tools, patience and time. Good luck.

Lol, I live in Wisconsin so salty winters indeed. I did start to tear things apart, had the ball joint press ready and yeah things are rusty. I'm not equipt with the proper tools to heat things up if needed, sooo I put things back together to re-think the situation. Im not in a, I have to do this moment, but more in a could be done moment.
