You don't have to be worried about the tpm. As already mentioned they are directly mounted on the rim. So if the rims stay on their position you don't have to do anything, no reprogramming and so on...

 

I was looking at these tires also. I don't plan on doing any aggressive off-roading in the near future, but my family does like to Geocache. We did aGeocache in Arkansas this summer where I wish I had had an off-road vehicle, so I would like that as an option. What I really want is good handling and traction on the road. We've got about 8 inches of snow on the ground now, and it's only two weeks in to winter.

I would be interested in any feedback anyone may have on these tires as well.

The reason I am going with these tires (285/75/16) GoodYear Wrangler Silent Armor tires is that they are rated a 9 for Dry traction, 9 for Wet Traction, 10 for Snow Traction, 9 for Offroad Traction and 8 for Quite Ride.
They are also ranked #3 on Tirerack's website.

Question is should I leave the tires facing out with the all black side wall or have the white lettering on the outside of the tire showing?

 

Ratings are one thing, results is another. See orif they require allot of weights to balance then they are not a very good tire (not very round). This website will help you out; http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs...text2=Plus%201

Good Years tend to be a soft compound tire, check the UTQG rating the higher the # the harder the compound, some off-road/LT don't have this ratings because it is not a universal standard. Most P-Mterics have this rating.

I recommend, General AT2 Grabber, BFG A/T KO, KumhoRoad Venture AT KL78 or KL71,Cepek FCII and Pro-Comp AT's, Toyo open Country A/T.

 

That' a good choice Gunny. I drive the Goodrich's A/T Ko and tested them in the Alpen last week in deep snow and they did very well. But I have to admit that I don't have tried other ones. I changed the stock tires in the first week I got mine.

 

I read allot on this to make sure I make good decisions, Toyo's I had on several vehicles, the AT2 I read good reviews in four wheeler testing as well as the FCII and BFG.

 

got the adventure package on my hummer with 20" rims and the 33" Toyo O/C MT's. getting around 14 mpg. half city/half highway. bet it would be better with the stocks, but i'll sacrifice a few mgp for the better look.

I am looking at getting Mickey Thompson rubber, probably the ATZ or FC-II tyres.

Has anyone got any experience with MT's? I have many friends recommending them, but want to see how they perform on a H3.
