I actually have the Onkyo TX-NR905. Has a few issues with audio and video delays (lag) when used for source switching and/or changing channels...so if you are a channel surfer beware.!! Have really not gotten used to that yet and probably will not. I had a Denon 5800 before (component only not HDMI) got hit by lightning and had to get a new one. Thought the 905 was the thing to get but really missing my Denon, have had the Sony ES line as well...but for my money Denon is the way to go. BTW, I have a 60" Sony SXRD TV, Comcast HD DVR, Direcv HD DVR and have the same problem with both sources. No fix in sight yet. I believe the 875 has the same issues, according to some on the forum, but cannot confirm personally. Really sad though because the 905 sounds and looks great (and you can get in silver).

So earlier I mentioned that my 70" Sony ONLY has 2 HDMI inputs in the back so I'm thinking of upgrading my 7.1 JVC Receiver to a new one with minimum 3 HDMI inputs!!
Question, I've heard 2 different views on attaching video through a receiver. One is that you get a better pic just going to the TV, the 2nd is that as long as you are using GOOD HDMI cables, there is NO DEGREDATION of video going through the receiver with digital??
Anyhoo, I don't want to spend $3000, and it needs to be Silver to match the rest of my system.
I'm thinking about the Onkyo TX-SR875. I've read that the REON HQV is THE BEST video processor out there, so I just need some expert opinions!!

What would you suggest?? I looked at Denon earlier but couln't find what I need in SILVER!!!

So I decided to go with the Onkyo TX-SR875!!!
I also relented and bought a Blu-ray player. Looks Pretty SWEET and it's as CLOSE to Silver as I can find

i wonder why my tv doesnt work with hdmi.i tried hooking up my ps3 that way,but no pic.i mean its there,it should work.the ps3 i had reconfigured to hdmi,but the tv didnt say anything about that.oh well

Check in your manual to see if your HDMI port on your TV supports the HDCP protocol(High Definition Copy Protection). If It doesn't, the PS3 may not work on it. I'm not sure if PS3 uses that on its regular signals, but there are a few revisions to HDMI. There is also HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 (1.2?) I believe, so your tv may be older and not have the correct HDMI support it needs for the PS3.

I actually got it for $999, and the reason I bought this one is it's PRETTY!!!!
