Another CarFax doubter. I bought a used '97 Chevy K1500 for my son a few years ago. Looked great, ran like new, good price. Bought a CarFax report and all it showed was the annual plate renewal in Wisconsin. After a few months, it developed a problem with a window regulator. I opened up the door and saw some interestingly shaped door panels. I investigated further and concluded that the truck had been in a pretty serious accident (that explains why he couldn't attach his Comcast placard to either of the doors). It later developed a front end problem that required some pretty expensive repairs due to damage that resulted either from that accident or maybe another - no way to tell. The body work was first rate, but the hidden damage was severe enough that CarFax should have reflected it.

The Hummer H3 is a great vehicle, it stands up to the Hummer name and is a fun vehicle to own and operate. It sounds to me that the previous owner of the H3 never had the tires rotated on the vehicle. You should request a car fax report and tell the dealership that the only way your gonna purchase the vehicle is if they put new tires on it. I dont know what your budget is, but I know right know they have amazing deals on all teh hummer models. Best of luck

Could have been air pressure but have them check and certify the alignment, tie rods, heads and steering shaft. The H3 is a great vehicle but any truck can need maintenance or have been abused.

It sounds to me like the truck may be fine. the previous owner my have lived in an area where they were going down hill and to the left very often. this could easily explain hard wearing of the right front tire. The car would still be aligned properly and drive fine. If they put some tires on it and then an alignment, you should be fine. Or, just look it over carfully, because if what I just mentioned is true, you could use it as abargining chip when working the deal.

Make an offer, and as part of it, have the dealer do a 4 tire allignment.

Be careful with an 06 built before 3/31/06, head/valve recall....probably already has been repaired under warranty????

Finally, consider that the 2007s have a much better warranty.
