When I got mine and went to change the oil for the first time I noticed it was leaking tranny fluid, not sure how they missed that during inspection at a Chevy dealer. I went to change the oil right away too as soon as I bought it, so it's not likely it happened after I drove it off the lot.

I also had two broken manifold bolts and they extracted all the studs on both sides and replaced them with a new updated design or something. Probably just stronger steel.

I started having traction failure issues over the winter, went round and round with that until a solution was found. They started with replacing the dash switches, then moved to cleaning the contacts, finally I talked them into replacing the encoder motor and that fix it.

Everything was covered under warranty. I bought it with like 36k on the clock and it is an 08. I've had more issues than I would have liked to, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. It just rolled over 50k so my warranty is kaput.

I also noticed the truck sits lower than it should, even before I put all the stuff in the back and weighed it down, not sure whats up with that. As far as I could tell from a history report it was never in any accidents and whatnot.

 

Buck up lil' camper, you still have a 5yr/100K drivetrain warranty!

 

 

The -06 was sold yesterday, so now I am shopping for the Alpha, is there any difference between the -08 and -09? Any improvements?
