HummBob,

Approximately what is the eclipse unit worth? Did you get it here in Canada, or order it out of the states? Can you still use your steering wheel controls, ie. volume? Does it work with the Lux Bose amp, or did you have to change amps as well? Sorry to ask so many questions, but I just want to weigh out my options.

I buy my Eclipse stuff from a guy on "another forum". There's only one place in Winnipeg that sells Eclipse since A&B Sound closed up here, and they are SUPER PRICEY!!

I don't know if you can use the factory amp??? I'd assume so??? But I wanted to change out my amp and speakers anyways and add a new sub as I just wasn't happy with the OEM set-up!!

TheEclipse deck's run around $1000 - $1500USD. And you CAN use your steering wheel controls, you just need to but aa adapter. PAC sells them!!!

Let me know what you want to do as I MAY sell my AVN2454, as I'm THINKING of upgrading to:

Yeah, I may be very interested in that. I'll do an internet search on the 2454 to get the details. Here is what I am hoping it will be able to do.
1. View DVD's while driving. (For the wife and kids)
2. Have a Nav database so that I can use the Nav without having to switch DVD's.
3. Allow me to hook up a backup camera so that I can find the hitch on my trailer.
4. Allow me to hook up my iPod and control the iPod using the stereo controls. (ie. Leave the iPod in the glove compartment)
5. Still be able to use steering wheel controls
6. Use my existing Amp
7. Look totally cool!

How many of these things can it do?
