I have a 2006 h3 and heard that I have a locking rear axle but idk if its true. but if it is, what are some options on getting my front axle to lock too?

 

Post a photo of your center 4x4 controls. We can tell you if you have a rear locker.
Front locker will require a differential swap to a cast iron unit with a locker and 4:56 R&P.
The aluminum front differential in your 06 will not take the abuse of a locker and wheeling.

 

Like Tainter said, look at your transfer case buttons above the radio, if you do not have the button pointed to by the red arrow, no rear locker.

 

but even if I don't have a locking rear axle do I still have 4:56 gear ratio?

 

Yes, all I5 H3/H3T have 4:56 ring and pinion front and rear.

How do you know if the locker is engaged, besides de light on the dash? When I engage it I do not hear any noise.

 

turn a tight circle, you chew up the grass! off road only

 

It will only engage in low range.
