Honestly, I thought I could just reactivate onstar and have them unlock the doors but apparently once you deactivate they cant send the data link back to the vehicle until you hit the button. I even tried onstar a second time and used the dog sob story and it was a no go.
Don't worry about backups now, once you lock yourself out you're likely to never want to do it again!

they'd have his password, driver's license number, urine specimen....
so,,,if they have that, do you have that at your fingertips?. password, lets see?? dont u need to prove who u r??
darn my license is inside too. lots of possibilities for difficulty if i try to get YOUR car open.
and they dont really know whom i am.
unless they are as careful as the people who police the voting system!!, no id needed huh!

i simply point out possibilities of potential troubles and,,,theres always someone nitpicking me,,huh!! have fun guys, im ok just watching and posting accurate, factual data, often in picture form to be most helpful. no guess work with drtom no sirrree

oh, if you have trouble blocking , just dont read my stuff, just passover it,,ez

now about those fog lites,,,drls,,,

1. AAA has a free lock out service. Maybe it is time for a membership?
2. AAA also has an credit card sized plastic card that has a copy of your key, in plastic, flush with the card. While I never used it on my H3 I used it for my Ford.

AAA covers "the person" no matter what or who's vehicle you are in, If you are with a friend and he locks himself out of his vehicle you can call to have it opened because you are in his car.
Should have found a friend with AAA.

Do people not keep spare keys at home any more?

Not when home is 1700 miles away, up side, I have work. Down side, everything is in the truck.

I used that plastic card key replica on my first car when I was younger. It cracked me up, actually. Back then i was able to start my car with the plastic key. I thought it was interesting enough. I always had that thing in my allet, used it once.

I didn't know Triple A did that, though. I just thought it was a Ford standard when I inherited the old Ford Tempo from my grandmother's estate.

Interesting..
