Hey guys -

I was messing around with my 4 wheel drive functions (lots of snow here) and when I push the 4 wheel locked high - the H2 goes into 4 wheel locked high, however when I push it back to 4 wheel normal (un-locked) the light shows it is un-locked - but the rig is still stuck in 4 wheel locked.

I had to mess with all of the transfer options and drive around messing with the buttons for a while until the rig unlocks.

It did this once before and I took it in to the dealer and they replaced some kind of pin -

does anyone have an idea of what is going on?

make sure your in "park" before changing from one mode to the next.

 

Just got it back from the shop Thursday - they told me that it was the fluid they were using in the transfer case - there is a newer type fluid recommended by GM - so they changed the fluid to the newer version and so far it works fine.

I had this in before for the same thing a few months ago and they said they replaced a pin and rebuilt the transfer case - so I hope it is fixed

Sometimes it takes a time or two to get it to come out of locked. You can also try putting your truck in reverse and backing up 20-30 feet.
