Default lights

Ok, so after following the manual's directions as far as aiming the headlights, it has turned out to be a big failure. The headlights and brights both point down. any suggestions? If I am driving down my road at night, i turn on the brights, and they point down, not farther out, as brights are supposed to do??

Are you headlights stock halogen bulbs, no kits or aftermarket stuff ??
If you have followed the directions in the manual, I can't imagine what could have gone wrong.
You can check to see if the adjustment screw above each headlight is actually adjusting the light.
With headlights turned on, park close to flat wall, mark position of top of light pattern on the wall.
Back up truck about twenty-five feet and see where headlight pattern now hits the wall.
You may have already this, but turn adjustment screw and see if light pattern does in fact go up or down. Perhaps the adjustment screw is not adjusting the lamp at all.
Remember there is no side to side adjustment anymore
All this work is for low beam. High beam is OK if you have adjusted the low beam properly on stock headlights
Hope this makes sense

One last thing. Remove the halogen bulb from the headlight housing and reinstall. If bulb is not seating properly it may be causing some problems. Check and make sure there is only one (1) O ring for each bulb to make proper seal.
People have changed bulbs and old O ring will stay in housing and new bulb already has its new O ring attached

Turn the screw so they point higher. Chapter 1, Today's Rocket Science.

I hope you did try adjusting the screw... If not do so at once.. If you did, back to the drawing board.
