Default leaking oil .. ideas?

I just notice a slight oil leak .
I got to do a double check but the oil looks to be coming between the engine and the converter. It is engine oil , not transmission fluid
Does anyone knows what the fix will involved
My biggest concern will be the oil mixing with the tranny fluid
Any ideas appreciatte

Thanks

By the info I could got online leak could be coming from the main rear seal or the gasket .
Both looks as a pain in the rear to replace
Either the tranny has to be removed or engine pulled out

I guess Im going to clean everything to get a better idea how much is leaking
Had anyone used bluedevil or any other stop leak additive.

Im more scared to put additives on the oil that leaving the oil leaking

Btw not a significant oil lost amount reflected on the the stick

I'm going through the same thing. I removed the skid plates and cleaned everything off. I then observed that the leak is with oil pan on the drivers side by 2 of the bolts holding the pan to the block.

I tried lucas leak stop. After a week my engine started ticking when it was first started in the morning. It would tick for about 1 minute before it stopped. I took the oil out and put in new oil and filter and the ticking is gone. So my advice is to steer clear of leak stop additives. They make the oil too thick. And it did nothing for my leak.

One day I will drop the pan and replace the gasket. I'm curious to see if you have the same leak.

It can also be leaking from the top and running down the back of the block. Check the oil pressure sending unit as they can develop a leak and cause the same symptoms.

I will take the skid plaste and check/clean everything . Hopefully it is anything but the rear seal . You confirm my decision to stay away from stop leaks after read some reviewers
Calf that's a good suggestion. I replaced the oil sending unit a few months ago so it may be the cause.
Will post after check. Thanks

If it is the rear main seal, you will have to take down the trans to get to it. I had to do this on my 2003 last year.

I checked for oil running from the top ( oil sending unit) and found some oil marks on the side . Also the oil sending unit is very dirty around . It looks as burn oil mixed with dirt ...
what would you guys guess by looking at the pictures .
Should I re-tight the oil sending unit . leaking oil .. ideas?-screenshot_2016-03-16-18-53-00.png

It dosen't appear to be leaking. Maybe that is an old oily film leftover from when you last replaced the OPS. Spray it with BrakeKleen and see if it comes back.

my 09 had a leak by the pan, and had to replace the gasket. I did it at the same time I was installing the LT headers so wasn't so painful. I also had a small leak on the hard / fixed oil pipes, so got those replaced at the same time too.
