Knight Rider HUMMER KITT lights - 2.0
They look better now. I adjusted the scanning rate and they now have sound. I'm about to go do some video of it even though the truck is looking pretty dirty right now.
Here ya go. It's cold and nasty out, so when I have more time (and it's clean) I'll take a better video:

And yes, the sounds are coming from the truck.

Mike...DUDE!!! THat is SICK!!! If you would wire in a motion detector so that it would go off when someone walks right in front of your truck, you would make a few people crap

BTW...your a hit at SG

Thanks Mike. Sorry I haven't been over there lately. The car has really worn me out this week.
And, I already told Mike and a few others that I'm going to add the motion sensor soon. I just need a break

thats wicked...
so, just a thought, but when i was little, one of my dads customers had a firebird that was a poorly done kitt knock off, and he had buttons inside that made the car "talk"...
just thinkabout it..."michael, there is a jeep stuckon a muddy trail one point five miles to the north-northeast"...in the voice from the original...

I'm actually working on a design for that, but it will be a separate circuit. Now that I know how to make the first one, I can order the components to create the second module. The voice module was a combination of 3 separate circuits, one of which was a 6V power supply for the voice chip, and an amplifier circuit to power the speaker in the hood compartment, all triggered with a relay and remote control.
The Voice part will hopefully have a screen on the dash come up with a video clip of the KITT screen when he talks, and will introduce itself to you when you sit down, triggered by the airbag sensors in the seats. When you sit, the screen will come up with him talking and you'll actually see his display.
Well, that's just an idea, but not impossible
I already have the KITT voice on my TomTom navigation unit

Good question. Apparently, the end is not near as I thought
Between the feedback on here and the emails I've gotten from YouTube users, apparently the requests are:
A) Make it motion-activated
B) Make it talk
C) Make his EQ come up on a screen while it talks
So, that being said (I'm still not sure why I'm doing this
) I will be installing the motion-activation sensor this Saturday. This will be turned on and off via a switch under the light controls.
It will be able to be triggered by either motion or remote. I'm putting some diodes on the circuit so it doesn't fry my other components when either one is triggerred.
We'll see how well THIS one works

Good job, Mike!
