The only time this happened to me was when I left the truck sitting for about 3 months when I was away for work and came back to find the battery dead as a doornail. Never bothered ro put it on a battery tender as I was going to replace it anyway cause I knew it was on the way out. Put in an Odyssey and haven't had a problem since.

 

Kay, I just bought my 08 h3 and the key will stick in the ignition sometimes, and then it will be fine others!!! What do I tell the people at the shop to look for? The battery connection or this shifting sensor thing? Pls help! I loooove my hummer and want to get the dealer to FIX it now so I don't have to cough up more money for this same problem later!

No, just the keys that came with her. Both are doing it once in a while, and moving the steering wheel up or down, or moving the gear shift will make it work again for a while. ???
