Anyone have this happen? I read the post on what to do to get the key out, that was helpful, but having to use a screwdriver to get the key out of the ignition every time is annoying. Also it will shift through the gears without the brake pressed. No broken wires under dash, no battery drain, just the problems mentioned above. Anyone had this problem or have any ideas?

 

Just put a squirt of WD-40 inside the ignition lock, then work the key in and out a few times.

 

Didn't work. I can hear and feel it locking the key in the ignition as soon as I turn it past the off position. Doesn't explain it shifting without the brake applied either. I am thinking brake switch, ignition switch, or something else. Would like to target the problem instead of replacing everything related to it.

 

New switch. Several H2s that I have looked at buying show on the carfax that the ignition switch has been replaced. Must be a common problem...
