Keeping tree debris out of heater air intake?

Default Keeping tree debris out of heater air intake?
I keep getting tree debris in my climate control blower motor and of course it makes noise and or blows out the vents. Any quick fixes for this? How can I take off the cap in front of the windshield on the passenger side?

Can anyone tell me how to remove the cover piece in front of the windshield on the passenger side?
