my question is, why? the amount of money that you are tossing into this could have already amounted to a used H1, which at least will provide some return of investment aftewards if you decide to sell.

What is costs to service, maintain and fuel a real H1 is a lot compared to this. I have spent about $13k so far in this project. I bought it 80% done and am finishing it up. I fabricate mostly all the metal partsI need myself and do what I can. There is reallynothing like working on a car yourself and seeing the final product after going through all the steps. Eventhough I didn't start this from scratch, it's a foot in for my next kit that I want to do.

I'll turn around probably break even if I need to sell it. Even make something off of it. Working with my dad on this has been the best thing I've done.

A real H1 maintenance isn't close to as much as you are thinking, you will probably fare the same mpg in this than you would in a real H1, not to mention, a real H1 will have capability on top of that (towing, climbing, etc).

Anyways, as long as you are doing it for the passion and not just to have an "H1" then I guess it's good enough for me.

waikoah - Love to see how your replica is turning out. If you need help with your kit, there are a lot more replica builders on the H1 Forum at www.h1forum.comwww.h1forum.com

There are also more builders of the TremorMUV on build.tremormuv.com
