Jumper cable gauge size?
typical is the bigger the better, but dont worry, anything will bring the ded batt up, in time!
rule one; turn off the good car, hook up and let them sit a few minutes to bring up the ded one a little. if it starts, youre all set,if not then start the good one, wait a few minutes b4 trying.
if u hook up to a really ded batt ,its like a short circuit and can blow the alt in the running car. let the batt do the initial work, not the alt.

years ago when bumpers were metal, and men were men,i touched bumpers together and used a short piece ov # 12 electrical wire to jump a car,(maybe # 14!)
dont fall for advertizing hype.
a wire with a little resistance may provide a little "give" instead of a hard jolt from hooking to a fully dead batt. kind of like a nylon tow strap instead of a steel cable.
