I did the torsion bar adjust and have a question
Okay guys, I did the torsion bar adjustment in order to put 35's on this weekend....it has a bit of a bounce in the front now...is this normal? I dont know how many turns it took to level the truck out because a friend did it before the front end alignment...but it is level now. Another question, Im not a car idiot but I have never messed with such a componet...what exactly do these do? everyone says it wont effect anything by adjusting, but I deal with GM on a daily basis and they just dont do something for no reason...Im sure there were atleast 4 engineers that came up with the ride height.
Thanks!
Thanks!

RE: I did the torsion bar adjust and have a question
All I can tell you is I won't do mine...What you did by cranking on the T-bars was stiffen up the front springs, which is the torsion bars..so yes you will get a bouncier ride now...

Hi AJ,
Use the search function here on the forumfor Cognito or Bilstein......They have a product that will
take care of your ride problem........Multiple threads on the topic............
(I'd give you the info/links direct, but I'm on a stupid laptop with a persnickety keyboard and "pointing devise")
****.....took five minutes just to write that.....jeez.....[:@]

RE: I did the torsion bar adjust and have a question
Dennis is incorrect. It does not sitffen or increase spring rate when you crank the TBs. It only adjusts the ride height. The reason it bounces more is because you reduce the amount of droop because the shocks are limiting the droop downward. Get Cognito extended shocks for H3 and you will be all set: http://cognitomotorsports.com/store/Hummer_H3.html
