Exclamation I Caught A Wild Turkey Yesterday......

...at 65 mph an hour!!

Coming home from our cottage last night on hwy #11 just south of Burks Falls, Ontario, a 12 lb turkey flew from the side of the road, blew through my windshield at 65 mph and landed in my sons lap still alive and kickin'.
After the initial shock of flying glass, feathers everywhere, a birds wing slapping me in the face and my son screaming obscenities, I pulled to the side of the road where my son jumped out with a flapping turkey still between his legs.
We were so VERY lucky that nobody was hurt badly.
My son received a few small cuts that required no medical attention and his girlfriend and I were fine.
The 911 operator, the attending police officer and the tow truck operator all said that this was the first turkey accident they had ever been to or heard of.
Just my luck........

If that happened to me yesterday, I'd be having turkey for dinner. Glad nobody was hurt.

I was doing some wheeling back in 07 with the family in the 3 and we came across these little guys w/ mom........ all I could think of was......add two slices of bread, mayo, lettuce & tomato = lunch.

Had one try and mate with my wife's car a while back. For 30 minutes he went back and forth rubbing up against the car looking at his reflection. Finally I chased him off.
