There really wasn't anything to it. I pulled it into the middle of my driveway, measured from the bottom of the tire to the bottom of the fender. Came out to be about 36 1/2" on passenger and 36 1/4" on drivers. Then I crawled under it with a breaker bar and 1 1/16" socket and turned the key bolt CW 2 turns at a time then got out and remeasured it. I swear it took me almost 8 turns on both sides to get it to go 38 1/2". I JUST went out and cranked it down about 2 turns and made it an even 38" on both sides, the rear measures at 39". The ride is actually softer, almost bouncy but not bad. Nothing compared to the CJ7 that I had. Turning radius wasn't affected. Just need to adjust headlights, was flashed for highbeams 4 times last night after I did it. When I asked the service guy why they were set higher in the back, he gave me some story about it helping with MPG, the aerodynamics. They do it so that they can stay competitive in the market with the MPG. I don't know, that's what he said.

Seriously, you need to have your tires aligned. !!!!! You will totally "F" up your truck if you continue to run it like this!!! 8 turns is way way WAY TOO MUCH!!! I did mine and it was only 2 1/2 turns on one side and about 3 1/4 on the other to get it even on both sides. Don't screw around with this thinking you are a mechanic. YOUR TRUCK NEEDS TO BE ALIGNED !!!! you will eat away at your tires and mess up the front end mechanics without an alignment. DON"T be clueless and screw yourself later with HUGE costs of tires and fixes because you didn't listen to people with have the knowlege of what can happen. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE MORE experienced people on this forum.......
I have already made the appt. I'm going out of town for a week tomorrow, dropping off my H3 so that they can do the alignment, my drivers side headlight is misting up inside, and the headliner on the driver side seems to be coming loose. Trust me, I don't think that I am a mechanic! I know alittle about working on cars but in no way am I a mechanic. That's why I check on here and ask around before I do anything. After reading everything on here I just couldn't justify spending the money on new keys or a kit when that is all that you need to do. The alignment will be done this week, next to my Road King this is the funnest (bad grammer, I know) vehicle that I have ever had. And I worked my *** off to get it. I'm not about to screw it up thinking that I know all of the mechanics envolved with it. Thanks for the advice though. It has been noted and being done. Now, I just need those damned tires!
UPDATE: I called Hummer and told the service mgr what I've done and to schedule my appt for tomorrow for the headlight and headliner. He said that I shouldn't have to do anything to it, it should be fine but just in case they are going to check it out for me while they have it all week. I'm going to miss it
. I will let you know what the outcome on this is when I return and get it back.

OK, it's in the shop being looked at and adjusted as needed. The only bad thing is they gave me an Alpha for a loaner! Damn them, now I want the 5.3L
. Don't think that I could trade mine in for one though, there just wasn't any there that looked anything mine. They said that people are actually buying the Tactical and changing everything to chrome on it. Nothing against chrome, my wifes is chromed out, but why buy a Tactical then chrome it? Doesn't that defeat the point of buying a Tactical? Will let you all know the outcome of the doctor visit for him.

I think when cranking the torsions, you need to jack up the front so that the front tires are suspended, make a couple turns, drop it back down, measure, if not too liking, jack back up, make a couple more turns, drop back down.... Yeah, I know sounds more like....
from previous posts, 2 -3 turns would do it, 8 is probably giving you some helluva ride.

Another hint:
Never measure from the ground to the fender, you'll get bogus measurments due to tire sidewall flex. Always measure from the center of the wheel to the fenderwell lip.
