I blogged about Hummer's newest commercial today - itfocuses on the HOPE program- but the comments on youtube really made me realize what kind of people are out there.

Check out the new Hummer commercial on youtube and all the comments its getting from the anti-Hummer crowd.

Hummer will always have its critics no matter what, but slamming a program that associated with aiding the American Red Cross during disasters seems a little low to me.

 

I am a Professional Paramedic and Volunteer for Red Cross. People are F'n idots!!!! I can't beleve all the hate pointed at people for volunteering for the American Red Cross. I bet you anything the people commenting on the youtube video have never volunteered for anything in there life.

As they say "Those that can do, those that can't just criticize those that can."

The commercial is pretty cool! I wish we had a HOPE chapter around the KC area, but there doesn't seem to be much interest. Go figure, we get hit with pretty much everything (tornadoes, floods, ice storms, wind damage ...) around here. I don't pay much attention to thea$$-clowns on YouTube. Most of the blogging on there doesn't even deserve a response. [:@]My New Year's resolution is going to be to quit arguing with people on the Internet. It just amazes me that some of these morons can draw the conclusion that if there were no Hummers, green house emissions would be gone, the ozone layer would be intact, ... It's the same stupid rhetoric.

 

Mike Morris is the national coordinator for HOPE. Get involved and email mike@thehummerclubinc.com. It is a national deployment program and Mike will coordinate getting HOPE volunteers involved when requested by the Red Cross. HOPE volunteers made a tremendous impact on Katrina relief and most recently deployed a number of members to support in the southern California fire relief.

It isn't necessary to have a local HOPE group although it may help within your local area. If you can deploy on quick notice and maybe be gone for a week or more then it is a very rewarding experience. Get involved.

I would even deploy to help a bunch of idiot bloggers trapped in a cave.

 

Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be an American. We have some real uneducated retards who live here. A commercial about helping those in need - and all people can do is talk about the gas millage of the rescue vehicle. Anybody have any idea what the mpg is on an ambulance? How about a fire truck? I'll bet my *** if one of those retards was standing on their roof in the middle of a hurricane they'd jump into back seat of a Hummer rescue vehicle faster than they could say "Where are my hemp tampons?" And that's just the guys speaking.

I find it replusive that people would sink that low to bash an organization that would be trying to help the Red Cross. I read many of the comments. How can these people make such "educated" comments when they have never owned a hummer?? This pisses me off to the point where I will be signing up to become a HOPE member.

 

Same people who do notback their troops simply because they do not back the war. Last time I checked when my friends in the National Guard get called up in Georgia to go to Florida they usually drive their Military Hummers down there, and second that on the fire trucks I use to get very upset with people calling firemen for BS reasons when I was a cop.

I was a volunter police man and a fire man ... I would do this with 100 % heart and soul!!!!
