Started my H3 this morning and my odometer is only reading
1 180 10 . I have rest the cpu by turning key back and forth 3 times , nothing, then unplugged battery for 10min, nothing , then finally took dash out and used a can of compressed air on the connectors and checked wires for damage "there was none" then put back in heard gears grind or set and same thing 1 180 10. If anyone has any information on this and knows how to fix or what to do please help other dials work but my milage and other coded information doesn't please help.

 

It may be that your dash cluster has a short. There is no "milage code" / mileage code for the DIC.

The key thing and disconnecting the battery does not reset the pcu either. Your PCM stores the last 300 ignition cycles, power or no power. If it has a brain fart, disconnecting the power may reboot it absent the brain fart, that's about as much of a reset you are going to get.

You can scan the PCM to see what mileage is stored as regardless of what the dash displays, the PCM tracks miles.
