180 Miles and broke it
What is a 4x4 without getting dirty. Had my 07 H3 for two days and took it through its paces. During this test I crossed a large wood pile and a limb smacked the bottom of the chassis. When this happened it unplugged the main tranny harness and ripped out the two wires going to the speed sensor on the tail shaft. Being stuck in 4 LOW sucks. Called Onstar, they had it towed. The next morning I went to my dealer (Ron Carter Hummer) and crawled underneath. Thirty seconds later I had it all fixed, pins put back into the speed sensor and started it up. Now the only problem is the shifter not going into park or low without a little help. Dropped at the dealer this evening, they gave me a loaded H3 to drive as a loaner.
Am I upset, no way. I tested, I broke it, I fixed it. Just a little adjustment needed. This is no grocery getter, its gonna get dirty. Love our H3 so far, climbs like a goat.
I am looking to get custom underbody armour fabricated at my work out of 316 stainless. This wont happen again if I get it done.

I need to get a template on the OEM underbody armour. Anyone in the Houston area have the body armour? I think I can have it built out of 3/16" 316 stainless for almost nothing.
I did have to wash it, the truck is the wifes to drive to work and our family play toy. She was not happy about all the mud but she got over it. Brought her home a bottle of Crown Reserve that night. Still had to rinse the big chunks off, bottom side is still pretty dirty. Sorry, did not get any pics of the thing, was not part of the forum then. Next time, Ill get pics to tell the tale.
