wonder how steady the price is, the only reason its reallly offered is because of the tax breaks the companies get (and Ive heard the CEO of GM mention that) and because its environmentally friendly.... but if the price of E85 was steady enough (probably isnt (85% gas)) then eventually with the increase of gas prices and the "cheaper" price of E85 would outweigh the loss of MPGs but that isnt happening because I imagine E85 prices are just about as steady as gas prices

87 Octane: $3.93

Butthe closest place for ME to get E85 is 11 miles away from my house. Besides, my 3 won't run on it anyway.

backwards - e85 is 85% ethanol, 15% gas -- so the real deals will be when they're able to create cheaper ethanol -- which may be coming.

MPG goes down, performance can go up, but until it feels good on the pocketbook every week, people won't change.

btw, E85 is coming 2009 MY H2 and 2010 MY H3...probably when we'll see a new engine in the H3...

woops, thought it was the other way around....
