Default Hummer down

Gents!

It brings me great pain to (and back on the hummer forums finally!) say that my hummer recently was involved in a near T-bone collision. The suspect vehicle, my H2, driven by my younger brother ran a red light and slammed into what I believe is a Lexus ES (07 model?). One guy was sent to the hospital to check for internal bleeding because he had a prior accident. No other is believed to be in the car. I got to the scene 10 minutes after it happened so I cannot confirm very much. Fire department was 20 seconds away from the crash site so they were on scene fast. No one was seriously hurt. I am thankful for that given how hard the hummer slammed the other car. And because of that, I moved on to a different kind of pain. This hummer was my FIRST car ever back in 2006, so I have an emotional attachment to it. To see it battered up and dented makes me angry and sometimes I wish I bought an H1 lol. On another note, this is the second time in 6 months its been into an accident, the first one the hummer destroyed 2 vehicles and sustained ZERO damage and everyone was ok.

I no longer drive the hummer as of 2010/2011 since moving on into a Benz but drive it from time to time to hear that magnaflow V8! Insurance will cover the cost but man this is a sad thing to see. An empty garage spot for the mighty hummer now collecting dust while I chew the hell out of my brother for the next 4 years of probation. For now, we wait, from the other parties, from possible law suits, emotional recovery, repairs, etc.

Accidents suck! My Jeep Grand Cherokee was totaled in December 2012 and my wife and I went through replacing it, her injuries and are in the middle of legal proceedings. Good luck to you. Your brother got four years probation (or did I misread that?)? Yikes!

@man, sorry to hear about your accident but glad you and your wife are good to go.

It brings me great discomfort learning this morning that the insurance company will be calling it a total loss! 40k in damages to make it as it was prior to accident. I may be parting out....
