My H2 has the infamous speedometer problem, too. Sometimes it sticks to 0, sometimes it works, sometimes it gives another unpredictable result. I know about the guy on Ebay who repairs speedometer clusters and would like to mail him my speedometer cluster.

However, how do I remove it from my Hummer?

I have hex bits for my screwdriver, but the dashboard panels seem to be interlocking in some strange way. The left airco vent panel sits over the left edge of the instrument panel and removing the hex bolts is not enough - something in the back of the panel is keeping it locked in place.

Does anybody have hints (or even step by step instructions) on how to remove the speedometer cluster from the H2?
