Default How to remove exterior panels

Am looking into adding clearance lights to roof of my 09 H3.
Above front windshield is what looks like a removable strip.
My question is it looks like i need to remove the roof trim pieces, and to gain access to vehicle elect. Those box like covers on each side by base of windshield.
They look like air or engine bay vents.

1. How do they release?
2. Roof trim, how does all that release

Rather than stock clearance lights, i anticipate using orange exterior grade LED strips on front, Red on rears. Expect to feed them down through the trim panels and eliminate any drilling.
I may even break them into sections so that the furthest side segments will also operate with directionals.

Any suggestions hints, anyone ever pull those panels etc.

The vent "boxes" just snap on/off. Open your hood, grasp them firmly, and pull straight up. The trim on the A Pillars are held on with a couple of screws (under the rubber door molding) and then a couple of clips; they pull straight forward. My H3 doesn't have any "trim" along the top of the windshield. It has the rubber molding, but that is part of the windshield installation and is not removable.
