i just installed the magnaflow dual exhaust on my 06 h2 and i like the look so much i want to remove the external tire carrier. its also a pain opening the tail gate for groceries to be honest. just want to know what new parts ill need like bumper or any kind of bolt plugs just want the low down before i take it off and have a mess on my hands thanks for any input

 

A pair of tow hooks will bolt into the same holes the tire carrier was bolted to. Problem solved. You can usually find a set on Craig's List.

 

my real concern is the wire harness that comes thru for the license plate light looks like it come thru the bumper piece the plastic cover that has hummer stamped into it

 

I've seen eliminator kits but they only consist of tow hooks & a licence plate holder that attaches to the bumper. I want remove mine too but I want my license plate to go where it's suppose to go on the rear hatch. Can this be done?

 

on your magnaflow, did the tips turn gold?

the tips are stainless so i stay pretty vigilant on cleaning them. this is my fourth magnaflow system on various vehicles and when the tips start to tarnish a little i use some mothers stainless polish and it brings them right back to life

 

if i do the switch i will definatly let you know
