We just put brand new Duratrac's on our H3 and now have five Firestone Destination M/T 285 75/R16 tires that I'd like to sell. I'm curious what a reasonable price would be for these used tires. Part of the reason we bought brand new tires is because we missed having the old ones rotated for far too long and the tread wore unevenly between front and back sets. One is brand new (spare) and then two are at 7/32 and two at 3/32.

Since the spare is brand new and goes for about $230 in the store, I thought I would ask $400 for all five. Does that sound reasonable given that two of the tires are nearing end of life?

I'd say maybe to no. But that is because i had a set of 4 Dynapro with 2/3rds of there life left with slight wear as you describe and could only get $250... sad

 

Sell the spare by itself and scrap the others. Most tire shops will not install used tires with less that 6/32 of tread due to liability issues.
