06' H2 with 230,000 miles. Just developed a consistent lifter tap and now I am searching for new power options as otherwise it is in perfect condition. Up till now there have been nothing but minor issues. As safe and reliable a vehicle as we have ever owned.

03 h2 107k all factory .i pulled the plugs at 100k and just laughed and put them back in.i know i will change the plugs and wires soon but just to do it. the oil sending unit was replaced and i noticed a small drip from the radiator last week so a new one is on the list. front end is tight but it has never seen mud. still shines like new. people always ask me what year is it, they think its only a couple years old. they really hold up well for there weight. i feel its very sound. oh and same brakes i really babby this thing . last suv was an expo with 200k on it all factory as well i traded it for the h2. still happy with my girl.

She gets a free detail every week so she looks pretty damn awesome for her age.

2006 Mileage
Anyone worried about buying a Hummer H3, if it looks like it has been taken care of, then I would not be worried, they are proven to be very good vehicles that are also in high demand. The bank told me that Hummers are very popular and will be collector cars that will grow in value over time.
I have 63,000 miles on my H3. I was a bit concerned about going from a V8 to an inline 5.cycl, but the engine has performed beautfully. I have spoke with other owners who have 80,000-200,000 miles that are still going strong with no complaints or issues and the common word is they love them.
I spoke with the dealer during my last service on how reliable they were and they said they have not had any major issues, that the engines and overall vehicle has been a very reliable and well made product.
I did speak with corporate about the 2006 models since the 100,000 power traine warranty is on 2007 and up, but they stated they would stand behind the owners of the 2006 models and would do repairs that they could do under warranty and any other, they would work to help the consumer with the cost. I did have a warranty issue and mine is out of warranty, and GM replaced the part under warranty at no charge to me that they found while in for 60,000 mile service. The dealer also said that GM has made a strong stance to stand behind all Hummers and Hummer owners.
But I high encourage to take your Hummer for service to a GM dealer, perferabally a Cadillac dealer that is the higher end GM line. But I would not take it Joe-Smoes machanic shop. I have found running a K&N air filter helps with performance and a bit on gas mileage, but has better engine protection. Also all the fluids call for Fully Synthetic and as for oil, I run Castrol Edge Fully Synthetic. There is no fuel filter, so every oil change run a good fuel system fuel cleaner like Barry-Mans B12, but where gloves and do not get it on your paint, but it is one of the best fuel system cleaners.

130k miles on my 2005 h2 and she's good to go. I also changed the front left hub at about 110k miles. I drive mine off road very hard. We are sas converting it now but I did frequently bust tie rods and what not. I've pulled stuff and played in the mud and really tested it. They are built fairly well aside from the extremely week IFS.
