So far..no cracks yet.

 

I was at the dealer for a battery issue back on Feb 12 and noticed that both the rails were cracked before I left the dealership and told the service manager. He told me he would order them and replace them in a week to 10 days, Here it is 3 weeks later and NOTHING, I called last week and he said he ordered them and they should be in by middle of this week (which would be yesterday) still no call. Both rails are cracked and are worse than the one in that picture above. For a truck I love its really problematic.

 

Ah Shoot!..if that is the worst thingthat happens you'll be lucky...Nothing but cosmetic trim anyway...takes them about 10 minutes to replace them.

i think those are just cosmetic also, butit might help, i am tring to go for the anti-bling look. i am thinking some line x maybe!?!?

 

I had mine done last Friday...or I should say the drivers side only. They ended up only replacing the side that was cracked. I figured they would just go ahead and replace both sides as long as one had already cracked, but nope that was not the case.

 

Mine (an '06)finally cracked during the February cold spell. Havn't taken it to the dealer yet.

Maybe it takes a Summer/Winter temperature cycle to make it fail?

 

OK What is cracked? Is it the plastic that runs from front to back and covers where the roof rails mount? I have holes in mine from a Plus 1 light bar that was removed and would like to get them replaced... any ideas?

 

It cracks where the window trim piece has a tab under the long plastic piece that runs the length of the roof.

 

The tab is cracked off my drives side windshield trim piece on the top where it meets the long plastic piece that runs the length of the roof... is that the crack problem? Is it covered under warranty? Where can I get them?
