Pittsburgh got a powerplay but Detroit scored on it. What a lopsided game.

Detroit looks good.

Detroit out hustled Pittsburgh - they wanted the puck more

Detroit out hit Pittsburgh - Pens were gun shy

Detroit played disciplined and stayed in their lanes on offense and during penality kills which resulted in second opportunities

Pens need to step up their game.

They did not look like the second best team in the league last night.

I look for a regrouping and adjustment in their play at home................or this series won't last too long? Lots of Hockey left, and Detroit does not want to do a repeat of their road trip to Nashville in the first round. [&o]

I had the luck of being sick all weekend, nice fever, so I have not been posting much. Had a bunch of stuff to do, and just did not feel up to it.

I did watch Hockey, some racing, and took it easy.

The Pens got their speed back, and played some good hockey.

Hope you feel better Doc

After watching that game last night, I do feel better, more entertaining Hockey to come!! The Pens got fired up and now it is turning into a series. I think the Wings might get the next one. Wish they would do a better officiating job, some woosey calls in both directions, that makes me no likey.

Thanks Chris.

Eventhough the Pens woke up, I have my doubts. The Wings look solid, up and down. It reminds me a lot of the '03 series with the Devils-Ducks. Brodeur shuts out the Ducks for 2 straight and then the Ducks storm back...turns into a 7 game series.
