HID + Fuse ?

Can anyone tell me when they installed their HID kit, do you have to replace the fuse for the headlights with a higher amp rated one?

I did with my other truck. The kit came with the fuse.

I got my kit off my friends F-150 before she traded it in. She thinks they put in a 20 amp fuse but wasn't sure. So putting in a larger fuse won't hurt anything?

ImportKiller can you answer this? I think you put HIDs in your rig. Did you have to replace the headlight fuses?

nope, never had to replace the fuse. Only reason to have to replace the fuse is if you are going up in wattage, the HID lights use a 35 watt HID bulb where stock halogens use a 55 watt bulb.

Ok then I'll try it without replacing the fuses. It just looks like most of these kits I've seen online come with 20 amp fuses. Can you also tell me where you mounted your ballasts?
