What year is your H3?
Do you have an OEM rear camera mounted in the rear bumper on the driver side?
Navigation has nothing to do with rear view camera. Totally different options on an H3.

Hi tainter, it is a 07 , has the camera mounted above the license , on a little bracket .not in the bumper as I have seen. . Very strange that I see no mention of BU camera anywhere in the manuals ? Confused
Have checked for power going to camera
Am beginning to think operator error or lack of understanding operation.
Thanx , Oops

Perhaps the mounted camera went to a aftermarket head?were the 07 cameras in the bumper? Did the 07 display on the navagation screen ? I saw that som slid out the rear view mirror!

That is an aftermarket camera if it's on a bracket. Previous owner probably took it with them.

Rearview Cameras were not an option until 08. The monitor slid out the right side of the mirror when the transmission was placed in reverse. The monitor is in the rearview mirror on the 09's and 10's. You have an aftermarket and that is why you can't find it in your manual. If it is an aftermarket Nav, it is likely to be wired to the display. If it is factory Nav then an external monitor is required. Good Luck

Hi , and again thanks, I'm guessing that there is NO alternative video input on the back of the existing nav??

To my knowledge you can not monitor a rearview camera through the factory nav.
