Hey Y'all!
I'm Brandy. I've been lurking around the site for a while now. I have an 06 H3. Nothing special *yet* just a glorified dog hauler. H3 = Mastiff Approved.
A lil about me. I grew up in a family full of hot rodders in West TN. My father and I have drag raced across the US with different events: PSMCD, NMCA, NSCA, Hot Rod..etc. I moved to the big city a lil over 5 years ago, chasing that dollar. Since then, most of our racing has been limited to charity events and cruise ins.
With my father being a car dealer, I changed cars like I did drawers. Heh. I'd always drove American sports cars or big and jacked up. I'm country, you know? It hasn't been feasible to drive a car with a 150 lb. dog, so I've swapped around with different SUVs. As much as I loved having a Jeep, Doozy out grew it with a quickness. Hence, the H3.
I tried really hard to find something else to interest me since I couldn't bring a stable full of muscle with me to the city. I failed miserably. I don't knit, there's no instant gratification or adrenaline rush growing plants. While a big part of me misses drag racing, I kinda like being a spectator these days...no pressure. I just like to ride and drive...chill out. My job is very hectic and I'd much rather cruise in an old car or ride in the woods. Quiet time.
As for plans for the H3, not a lot right now. I've only had it a few months. I need some side bars before I smash the seat down like a fatty rolling in and out. I tend to not put a lot of cash into a daily car, as everything I drive is always for sale. Who knows? I'm in love with Hummer Simpson. Might just keep him.
