Exclamation HELP!!! What is this?

This is causing me to lose connection to my battery, I've tried cleaning it and everything, on cold mornings I cannot start my H2 until I mess with this. Is it needed, can I bypass it, any ideas?

Yes you can bypass that, someone put that in there as a power cut off. It is not needed. If you want it you can buy another one and replace it. I would take off and bolt the two eyes together and double shrink tube it.

That thing looks like they installed it as an anti theft device.

You pull that key out to break connection correct?

You could remove it and bolt the connectors together as stated above. As a temporary fix. I would advise you to replace the whole cable as it is now a weak link and will get you again sometime down the road.

They also put those in to save the battery from draining. A quick disconnect when storing the vehicle for long periods of time.
