Default 28 inch rims wheel SPACER

I have 28 inch rims and 295/25/28 tires for my 2007 H3. They dont bolt on because of the big hubs on the H3. Therefore I need SPACERS to clear the hubs. The spacer needs to clear my original lugs so that i can bolt on the rims. My question is if I use 1.5 inch spacers or 2 inch. Believe it or not, if they did bolt on, they wouldnt rub. The problem is just that the hubs are too large. I measured how how much space is needed to clear and its roughly 1.25 inches. The problem is I dont know how much meat is on the spacer where the lugs tighten it on. Im thinking 1.5 inch is cutting it close and maybe 2 inch spacers would be safe. Anyone know if 1.5 inch spacers clear the original lugs so you have a flush surface to bolt a rim?

Here are the 2 inch spacers

just have the center bore machined to fit. I would not use spacers at all. just buy the correct wheels to begin with. there is to much of a risk with spacers.

the center bore shouldnt be messed with as it takes away from the integrity of the rim i was told. Im only going to drive with the spacers and rims 3 months a year..if that makes a difference

3 months, 1 month, 1 day......none of that time frame makes a difference if your lugs snap and your wheel comes off while your driving down the highway because you have improperly mounted and sized wheels (by size I mean hub bore, bolt pattern, back spacing, etc, not the blingy-ness of your rims)

Remember unless you have them mounted 100% correct you are not only putting your life in danger, but everyone else on the road around you, mother, children, fathers, soldiers, everyone and you are liable.

My advise is to go to a reputable tire/wheel shop an discuss it with them, and get their recommendations and have them mount them if you are unsure in any way.

Doesn't matter how nice the rims look if the hummer is in a junkyard because you figured it would only be a few months riding in style.

I've seen a bunch of vehicles with the hubs bored out with no integrity issues.

Looking at the research, it seems like 90% of the problems with spacers occur with "universal" spacers and/or incorrect install. If you buy spacers made for your vehicle, it seems the better option.
