Default Help with suspension

my h2 has a 4 inch rancho lift kit with 38 inch pro comp tires (38 50x14 50R 18LT). Off road it amazing but on road its a little to bouncy. Would anybody know of anyways of how to fix the bouncyness and body movement without lowering it? Also if i were to lower it how low could i drop it without causing wheel rub or any other damage of that sort?

heres a pic

one thing i can think of trying is lower the tire pressure alitte to let the tire help soak it up or try upgrading the shocks

the tire pressure is a good trick to help absorb some of the bumps also try an adjustable shock from rancho then u can self adjust the ride quality good luck

The adjustable shocks are a good idea..I wanted them for my H3 when I had it but at the time noboby made some that would fit.

Yes try diff shocks! I have been told that is the trick to help smooth out the ride.

I am thinking of installing a lift kit on my H2 as well. Can you please provide some more information on what was done?

1. What did the rancho kit include? (shocks, springs, etc.)
2. Did the mechanic have to do modifications (weldings) to the frame or other original part of the H2?
3. How much did it cost? (parts and labor)

I asked question #2 because I saw a comlete part kit for a lift and had a note that "some welding or midification to the frame" needs to be done by the mechanic. I really don't like to do that for SAFETY reasons. I like the H2 to look nice and lifted. But not at the cost of my safety.

Looking forward to some information from you or from other folks what installed lift kits on their H2.

you need to crank the torsion bars down one full revolution and see if that helps. I had a 4" rancho kit with rs500 shocks on my 02 expedition and the shop cranked it to 6'' in the front. I brought it back down a half inch and it rode so much better. It looks like your torsion bars are cranked a little too much. you should never crank a torsion bar on a truck for more than 1.5 inches in height. It puts stress on the cv joints and has worse ride quality. Just my two cents. try to find the happy median area of the torsion key that suits your preference.
